Contract holders at one of the four new downtown Austin condo towers have begun taking possession of their new homes.
Fifth & West condos, located at 501 West Avenue, is notable for its 39 floors and a triangular shape resulting from a Capitol View Corridor crossing part of the site. Construction of Fifth & West began in 2015.
According to a post on Fifth & West’s facebook page:
Closings and move in’s have commenced and we are so thrilled for those who have chosen to join the Fifth & West family.
Handing over keys to individual owners is a major milestone for any new project, and developers Riverside Resources can take a victory lap knowing the other buildings are several months behind them.

70 Rainey or The Independent are expected to be next new construction condos to begin closings, likely in Q1-Q2 2019.
