Unless you already worked from home, in which case we salute you, this whole coronavirus pandemic thing is shaking up your daily routine. For reasons unknown, the world has collectively agreed to use videoconferencing software Zoom for conducting business while distancing ourselves socially, and one nice feature those folks give us is the ability to load a virtual background into the program so everyone else calling into a meeting doesn’t have to see the state of your living room, bedroom, home office, ditch, or wherever else you’re working.
Naturally, we thought we’d whip up some Austin backgrounds for your enjoyment, some of which are pretty obvious and others more niche. Think of them as good conversation starters in a time when we could really use a second thing to talk about.
The images below are sized to fit the 16:9 aspect ratio of Zoom’s virtual backgrounds. Load them into the desktop app by navigating to the “Virtual Background” tab of the program’s Preferences window. Click each image for a larger view.
