Another mixed-use project is on the horizon in East Austin, bringing three stories and 16,358 square feet of retail, office, and residential space to a former industrial site occupying .64 acres on 2709 E. 5th St.
According to plans currently awaiting approval from the city, the development, which is currently known as Cinco, will consist of two three-story buildings. The north building is designed with at least 9 retail and office spaces, and the south building contains eight large residential units. The development will also include parking for 50 vehicles, including 18 on-street spaces.

Cinco isn’t the first project by Levy Architects on 5th Street — the firm previously designed an office building less than half a mile away at 2021 E. 5th, which is also home to Big Red Dog’s office.
Though the area is still fairly industrial, the Cinco development will join several new communities in the region, as Austin’s demographic center continues its rapid eastward expansion.
