AIA Austin’s 2021 Homes Tour Arrives With a TOWERS.net Reader Discount

Due to ongoing pandemic concerns, next month the Austin chapter of the American Institute of Architects will host its 35th annual AIA Austin Homes Tour in a hybrid format of in-person and virtual visits showcasing nine modern homes designed by prominent local architecture studios — three of those homes will offer in-person tours, with the rest toured online, including “3D virtual walkthroughs, floor plans, videos and live sessions with architects and select design collaborators,” per AIA.

Tickets are available for the online tours, the hybrid online/in-person experience, and a VIP package also offering access to an opening night party and “swag bag.” The tours will be offered between Friday, October 15 through Monday, October 18.

Highlights from this year’s tour include North Arrow Studio’s home that effortlessly blends into a steep hillside; homes that reinvent the relationship between private and public spaces from Clark Richardson Architects and Matt Fajkus Architecture; historical renovations from LaRue Architects, Furman + Keil Architects and Brian Dillard Architecture; new constructions from Hugh Jefferson Randolph Architects and Lake Flato Architects; and a home that marries sustainability and style from Webber + Studio Architects.

Unlike some other recent tours giving higher-density downtown residential properties a spin, the AIA event exclusively focuses on single-family homes, which might not fully capture the hearts of our readers that are more inclined towards condo-dwelling — but the tour offers a chance to see inside high-end residences you might never otherwise experience, and the combination of new-build and preservation architecture included in the lineup is quite the field trip for any design enthusiast.

Since making deals is all we do here at TOWERS.net, we’re excited to offer our beautiful cosmopolitan readers an exclusive discount code for $10 off every tier of tickets for this event — online-only, hybrid, and VIP. Enter the code HTTOWERS2021 on this page prior to selecting your ticket type and you’ll see this significant discount applied before checking out. Just tell the folks at AIA Austin that we sent you.
